A movie titled” Animal Farm”, as a provocation to the causes of revolution was shown to the students in their respective classes. They reflected using Connect, extend, challenge strategy.

Guest lectures were also held on revolutions in the field of technology, music, art, sports and Indian freedom struggle as a provocation to the unit. Students later on wrote a reflection on the same using 3-2-1 strategy. 

Percentage %

The students were tuned in to the concept of percentage where they first looked at the meanings of the terms, cent, centenarian, century, centurion. They understood that each word focused on something out of 100. 

They were then tuned in to the concept where they colored different portions of a graph paper out of 100 and reached to an understanding that percentage is out of 100.
They also practised converting simple percentage into fractions and decimals and vice versa.
