The students
picked up the issue that they had listed down for their formative on Choose,
Act and Reflect. They reflected on what form of expression they would use to
tell about it to the world to stop, their friends, their teacher, help/maid
etc. They also reflected on why they
used that form, its impact on others etc.

Summative Assessment- UOI
Students designed a country with its own system of government. They constructed the country’s constitution – a set of rules that show how the country is governed. It had to include a description of the way in which the government is organised as well as the powers that the government has.
The student
has the choice of how to present this work: to produce a poster, model,
booklet, an advertisement promoting the country as a place to live or a written
piece of work.
The
criteria students decided on the system of government: the branches of the
government and the people who head the government, voting system: how are the
leaders elected, basic laws: at least 10 along with punishments, the top-5
rights that a citizen of the country has, what are the responsibilities that
come with those rights, how would a citizen of the country feel and a
comparison of the government system with the Indian government.
It was
exciting the governments students had created and the thoughts that wen behind
the creations.

Number Sequence
Students busted some groovy dance moves and learnt about division with remainder through ‘Head and knee grouping strategy’. The students, who were unable to be the part of any group when the music stopped, were considered as remainders. All of them really enjoyed the kinaesthetic learning followed by questions based on division with remainder. Children arranged themselves according to the numbers allotted to them. Thus they acquired the knowledge of number sequence and later formed different number patterns on their own.
Summative Assessment- ENGLISH
They had a
summative assessment to assess their understanding of the concept where they
had to do a role play ‘ The case of the Missing____________.’
