In the Unit of Inquiry, students discussed about the different factors that cause an imbalance in the ecosystem and what happens as a result of the imbalance. They also reflected on what our role is, as humans, in causing an imbalance in the ecosystem and how we are responsible for a lot of changes that are happening around us. Starting right from urbanisation to population growth, animal killing, use of finite resources and not being able to differentiate between needs and wants: students sensibly spoke about the various factors which can be controlled. They looked at various endangered and extinct animals and plants and tried to identify the cause for their extinction.
